Herbs, oils and natural things that are reported to fight Candida

Anise seed  
Avocadoes, nuts, olives and olive-oil, and other
vegetable oils are mostly omega-6
Baking Soda works as an acid buffering agent, which
kills candida. See this non scientific article about their
recommendation and dosage.

Biotin (inhibits candida)  
Berberine Natural Antibiotics: Berberine an alkaloid found in the herb barberry* as well as in Chinese goldthread, goldenseal, and oregon grape root. Possessing significantly powerful antifungal action, berberine is believed to prevent Candida from producing the enzyme lipase, which yeast uses to colonize.
Black walnut  
Calcium "...calcium channels may be potential targets for therapy to enhance the efficacy of oxidative stress against C. albicans-related infections." Oxidation against Candida means that calium kills candida.
canola omega-6
Caprylic acid (or Undecanoic) Acid capsules 700-1,000mg (preferably including herbal anti-candida substances as well), after brkfst and after supper daily, for 3-9 months, depending on the blood antibody titers. The dose for undecanoic acid is 2x50mg after brkfst and supper daily.
Coconut Oil fatty acids in coconut oil have antifungal properties...will also kill Candida and other fungi
Calcium pantothenate (B5 ) 500 mg a day (this is particularly advisable if allergic symptoms are present)
Colloidal Silver  
CoQ10 kills a harmful toxin produced by Candida  
vitamin E for immune system support. 400 iu dry
Cellulase Cellulase is a promising new treatment for intestinal yeast infections.* The cell walls of intestinal yeast are comprised mainly of cellulose. Since cellulase is the enzyme that breaks down cellulose, when significant concentrations come into contact with yeast cells, the cell walls are irreparably damaged and the organisms die.
FOS, or Fructo-oligosaccharides nondigestible dietary fibers that help to keep the stomach and bowels healthy. FOS are considered a "prebiotic" because they nourish the naturally present "friendly" bacteria (especially Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli) which help to ward off infection in the digestive system.
Gamma-Linoleic Acid (GLA)  
Germanium (organic) Japanese scientist, Asai, found that an intake of 100-300 mgs per day of germanium improved many illnesses including candida. Research shows organic germanium increases tissue oxygenation
Origanum vulgare (Origaol Spice) is believed to be more effective at inhibiting Candida than caprylic acid. The culinary herb oregano - a sub species is also effective against bacteria.
Oxygen in molecular form. One of Oxygen's many properties is that it destroys harmful bacteria. Researchers have not found any anaerobic infectious disease bacteria that Aerobic Oxygen does not kill.

Hydrochloric tablets for digestion Digestion: Without complete digestion, we cannot benefit from the healing properties of the food we eat.
  • Hydrochloric Acid: Unfortunately, the natural secretions of hydrochloric acid in our stomachs – necessary for breaking down food so it can be easily absorbed by the small intestine – tend to decrease as we age. Hydrochloric acid is a powerful defense against bacteria and parasites as it activates pepsin, and works to kill the harmful fungi and bacteria found in food. Low hydrochloric acid or low stomach acid as it is often called, can lead to malabsorption, intestinal distress, and allergic reactions to various foods, all of which severely weaken the immune system. Supplemental with meals can help our bodies to more effectively break down food, fostering better use of the proteins, vitamins, and minerals in our food.
Iodine (potassium iodide solution)  Iodine may be the best remedy to eliminate systemic yeast infections.
Lugol's solution "I regard Lugol's solution as the most effective broad-spectrum microbicide, and being specific for Candida and other fungi. I am not aware of a medical drug with equal effectiveness."
    • Selenium 100 mcg a day Selenium deficiencies limit cellular immunity against yeast. Phagocytes (cells active in cell-mediated immunity) require selenium for the enzyme glutathione peroxidase function. Peroxidase activity in phagocytes is higher than in most other tissues (approximately twice that in red blood cells), and this is reflected in a higher need for selenium. The glutathione peroxidase system is an antioxidant enzyme system and is especially critical for phagocytic cell function. It has been experimentally demonstrated that selenium deficiency selectively causes a predisposition to yeast infection. Food and chemically sensitive patients should start with very low doses of selenium - according to a “selenium titration program” developed by Dr. Alfred Zamm, M.D. and Dr. Stephen A. Levine
    • Zinc 20-25 mg a day (this should be taken at night).
    • Magnesium 250 mg a day. Some research links yeast overgrowth with magnesium deficiency
    • Copper and zinc work together. Imbalanced copper levels directly tie to Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and candida. Copper serves as a natural antifungal. People with candida, parasites or Epstein-Barr virus commonly have an excess of copper and mercury in their body
    • ionic calcium: One theory states that a deficiency of ionic calcium (and other alkalizing minerals) is at the root of candida and juvenile diabetes. Acidosis ensues and degenerative disease develops without these minerals. Years ago I read in NW Walker books that cooking calcium-containing foods renders the calcium 'inorganic' and this clogs up the organs, joints and tissues. He advocates foods high in organic sodium like celery and zucchini to help remove the pile-up of inorganic calcium. Rich Anderson of Arise & Shine company feels that organic goat whey is the best source of organic sodium
  • 100 micrograms selenium for immune system support.
  • Dr. Cooter and Dr. Schmtt suggest 300 micrograms of Molybdenum in three divided doses per day, and further suggests staying on it for at least 4 months.

Probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus in large quantities (Ultradophilus, Maxidophilus, Superdophilus, and so on, with approx. 2 billion organisms per gram) to help repopulate the intestines. Take morning and evening on an empty stomach. Take probiotics - Lactobacillus acidophillus, bifidus FOS -fructo oligo saccherides Eat natural yogurt daily
Pantethine Dr. Atkins suggests 450 to 900 miligrams daily of Pantethine with an equal amount of Pantethenic Acid.
Sea salt  
Syngonanthus nitens Golden Grass from the planes of Brazil "...S. nitens extract could be considered as an effective and non-toxic natural antifungal agent in the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis."
stevioside (Pure (a plant extract) like JAJA Stevioside™ and pure stevia leaf powder like Honey Stevia Leaf™ are not sugars, though many people call them that, and refer to them as sugars or artificial sweeteners. They are not. In fact, unlike sugars (including honey and other natural and some artificial sweeteners), pure stevioside like JAJA Stevioside and Honey Stevia Leaf they do not encourage yeast growth. They are carbohydrate free. Technically, they have a closed 3-carbon-ring central structure of the molecule, so yeast and bacteria can not latch on to them and use them. This makes stevia and stevioside useless to the candida albicans yeast, but highly useful to you
Tea Tree Oil, Melaleuca Oil Tea tree oil is an essential oil obtained by steam distillation of the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a plant native to Australia.
  • Yeast-free multi-vitamin/mineral
  • 1000 milligrams vitamin C, four times a day
  • B-complex vitamin with thiamine, niacin and riboflavin (yeast free)
  • Biotin is a B vitamin essential for the metabolism of fats and proteins. It is believed to play some role in preventing candida from converting into its invasive form. 300 mgs of Biotin three times daily and two teaspoons of green olive oil three times a day prevents the conversion of yeast to fungal form. At least six months are required to get a good result.
  • Vitamin A best taken in the form of beta carotene 10,000 units a day.
  • Vitamin E 200-44 international units a day.
  • Vitamin B complex 1 capsule a day.
  • Folic acid 20-50 mcg a day ( this is important for the correct differentiation of T-lymphocytes into suppressive and killer cells)
      • Vitamin E, A, balanced B, I-Lysine and Pantothenic acid. Vitamins A and C help with the infection resulting from fungal micropunctures made into the intestinal walls.(5)
