The purpose of this site is to collect lab research by medical doctors about herbs that are proven to treat illnesses and counter the false attacks on herbs by the medical industry and false claims by alternative medicine. I let the science tell the facts.

Review of CranioSacral Therapy

This is a collection of internet information about CranioSacral Therapy or as some refer to it as CranioSacral Massage.

I was first exposed to this therapy in February of 2013 and found it helpful to me so I decided to do more research about it and see what others are reporting about it.

1. Wickipedia "Craniosacral therapy (CST), or cranial-sacral therapy, is an alternative therapy used by occupational therapists, physiotherapists, massage therapists, naturopaths, and chiropractors. Craniosacral therapy was developed by Dr. John Upledger around 1983, and is loosely based on osteopathy in the cranial field (OCF), which was developed in 1899 by William Garner Sutherland. In the United States, OCF, or cranial osteopathy, as it is more commonly known, can only be practiced by fully licensed physicians (DOs, MDs and, in some states licensed naturopathic physicians, or NDs) and dentists. Cranial osteopathy is considered an extension of osteopathic medicine, and its training is therefore strictly regulated by the osteopathic medical profession and its governing bodies.[1] The settled scientific consensus is that craniosacral therapy is pseudoscience,[2] and its practice quackery.[3] Medical research has concluded that there is no evidence for the therapy's effectiveness.[4] However, research remains ongoing[citation needed] to determine if mobility of the cranial bones exists and to determine if OCF can be shown to have any therapeutic applications." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craniosacral_therapy

  • Web Master comments; Most natural or non pharmaceutical treatments are scorned by traditional medical people no matter how much proof of good it does. They even disclaim scientific proof to keep people away from things that compete with them. Wickipedia is traditionally biased with the medical opinions.
  • There are many scientific research reports about CranioSacral Therapy by laboratory scientist see: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=craniosacral+therapy

2. "What is CranioSacral Therapy? CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics." read this link for more information http://www.upledger.com/content.asp?id=61
